The cabled chassis has cables that plug directly into the drive, and the drive can only be removed from the inside of the chassis. Drives in the 4 Bay LFF cabled chassis cannot be installed\/removed while the system is powered on. For the hot-swap chassis, drives can be added or removed while the system is powered on. You also do not need to open the server in order to add\/remove drives. Even though this will work,\n there are quite a few limitations. First of all, cannot use any PCIe NVMe drive of your choice. You can\n only use drives that have Dell firmware. A non-Dell, OEM drive will not work. Even with a PCIe NVMe\n drive with Dell firmware, you are still restricted. You cannot use the drive to install an operating\n system or to create a virtual machine. The only thing that this NVMe solution can be used for is\n additional storage. One thing to check is to make sure that the slot disablement setting in the BIOS is\n enabled.
