The Diagnostix™ 3.5V Coax Plus Ophthalmoscope Head is a premium diagnostic instrument engineered for advanced eye examinations, offering exceptional optical precision, ergonomic control, and unmatched versatility. Designed for demanding clinical environments, this Coax Plus model delivers superior visualization of the fundus while minimizing corneal reflection and maximizing diagnostic accuracy.
A high-performance aspherical condenser lens significantly reduces corneal reflection, with further reduction achieved through distinct parallel observational and illuminating light beams, based on Gullstrand’s principal. This advanced coaxial optical system ensures a clear, evenly illuminated field of view with excellent contrast.
The instrument features an ergonomic design with an integral thumb rest, allowing stable handling and one-finger control of all functions. A synthetic rubber brow rest supports comfortable use with practitioner eyeglasses, while the dust-proof construction enhances durability in daily clinical use. A magnified, illuminated aperture viewing window enables fast and accurate aperture selection.
The Coax Plus model includes a secondary focusing wheel with zero retention, allowing quick correction of ametropias. This feature can be used for virtually unlimited fine focus or as a rapid focusing alternative to the lens wheel. With an industry-leading 89 viewing lenses and 28 aperture/filter combinations, this ophthalmoscope delivers unmatched flexibility for comprehensive eye examinations.
Compatible with most 3.5V power supply handles via a universal bayonet mount, and equipped with a standard anti-theft locking feature, the Diagnostix™ Coax Plus Ophthalmoscope Head is available with xenon or advanced AdLED illumination. It is backed by a five-year warranty on the instrument and a lifetime warranty on the AdLED lamp, making it a trusted choice for ophthalmology, optometry, hospitals, and medical education.
