Because this is a "mini flash," it has a very low power output compared to a standard, full-sized speedlight (like the Godox V860III or V1). It does not have a zoom function to throw light long distances, so it is best used at close ranges (typically under 7 to 10 feet).

Additionally, the flash head is completely fixed. You cannot naturally tilt it up to bounce light off a ceiling or swivel it sideways to bounce off a wall. It is designed strictly for direct, on-camera flash lighting, making it ideal for snapshots but less suited for traditional, soft bounce-flash portraiture. (Godox does sell an optional "TR TTL Hot Shoe Riser" accessory if you want to add tilt functionality later.)
